Marketing Associate- Burlingame, CA

We are looking for someone to help develop our strategy and practices for marketing and communications. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of content creation and social media as well as PR, SEO, and other marketing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Plan content calendars and topic ideas, write blogs, work with and manage external contractors including photographers and graphic designers.
  • Public Relations:Work with press, bloggers and influencers. Maintain public image and increase brand awareness. 
  • SEO: Familiar with basic SEO, research and optimize keywords for various marketing content, monitor keywords trends, and leverage keywords list in content.
  • Social Media: Own Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Linkedin. 
  • Email Marketing: Increase subscription list, define target email campaigns, create email contents/copies/graphics.
  • Data analytics: Familiar with basic data analytics including Google Analytics, monitor sales funnel conversion and other key metrics.
  • Marketing Integration: Familiar with common marketing automation platforms including Mailchimp, Hootsuite, etc. Manage marketing platform integration, connections, and information/data flows.
  • Growth: Drive growth and generate new users for the company, conceptualize and produce creative marketing campaigns, monitor the latest growth marketing techniques, leverage innovative growth strategies, and create marketing reports.
  • Advertising: Familiar with online advertising including Facebook ads, Google Adwords, retargeting ads, create/manage ad campaigns, ad creation, and ad optimization, A/B testing, etc.
  • Events: Organize and prepare for events, trade shows, presentations, and more. Generate interest for products among potential partners by attending conferences, commissioning marketing materials and product demos.
  • Overall Marketing: Plan, develop, implement, roll out and manage strategic PR and marketing programs to achieve significant increases in brand awareness and revenue. Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity and customer trends and communicate these internally.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with digital marketing at a lifestyle or fashion company.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in SEO, PPC, Email marketing, and social media.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Basic photoshop skills a plus.
  • BA required.

Graphic Designer – Burlingame, CA

We are looking for someone who can conceptualize and execute projects such as homepage graphics, lookbooks, newsletters, banner ads, and print media. You will be collaborating with the brand and marketing team to produce stunning visual content for Kayu.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the development of new marketing landing pages, product pages and other design features on the website, coordinating launches and troubleshooting design issues with marketing team.
  • Develop email designs and templates and upload into email marketing tool.
  • Lead the creation of visual style guides and promotional templates for the marketing department.
  • Posses a deep knowledge of responsive design and feel comfortable designing with the end-user in mind for all digital platforms: desktop, mobile, tablet.
  • Provide creative support for partnership and public relations agencies by producing promotional designs for print, digital, events and in-store display, as well as PR materials such as press kits and inserts.
  • Provide support for photography and video projects, such as image retouching, image selects, art direction of shoots and video title design.

Store Lead – Burlingame, CA

We are looking for a Store Lead to join us and help grow our retail store in Burlingame. You will be directly responsible for the success of the store with the following responsibilities –

  • Serve as a proactive mentor and teacher for our Store Associates.
  • Drive sales in order to achieve goals.
  • Create a relationship with our customers by sharing sales,new items, and events with our customer email list.
  • Be aware and familiar with customer shopping behaviors.
  • Manage returns/exchanges or any difficult situations.
  • Be social media savvy.
  • Oversee store operations including opening and closing duties.
  • Assist with the visual merchandising of the store, and ensure that the store remains tidy and the presentation is neat and impactful throughout the day.
  • Communication with HQ, on trends, numbers, highs and lows.

Qualifications 

  • Must have retail customer service experience.
  • Event planning experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Word and Excel.
