Interview With Anna

Interview With Anna

Posted by Afterpay Integration on

To kick off the launch of our brand-new Batik hair accessories collection benefitting the 3-21 Foundation, we introduced a new face to the KAYU family—Anna Burtnett. Anna is a full-time student (and part-time model!) living with Down Syndrome. After showing off her style in our latest photoshoot, Anna answered a few questions for us about what she enjoys doing when she’s not in front of the camera. We think her playful, personality-filled answers speak for themselves.

For more information about our collection benefitting the 3-21 Foundation, read our interview with founder Julie Messina here.

Meet Anna Burtnett

KAYU: What was it like doing a fashion photoshoot for the new collection?

Anna Burtnett: It was fun to do the photoshoot! The Friday night one was harder because I was tired, but the Saturday morning shoot was fun because my cousin was making me laugh.

KAYU: What 3 words would you use to describe your life?

AB: Yoga, swimming and homework.

KAYU: What do you want to be when you grow up?

AB: I want to be a … well, what will I look like when I grow up? I don’t have a job.

KAYU: What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?

AB: In my free time I like to go out to dinner with my family.

KAYU: Where is your favorite place?

AB: My favorite place to be is home.

KAYU: If you were an animal, what kind of animal would you be?

AB: If I was an animal what would I be?… I’m a human. Who should I be? A kangaroo?

KAYU: Do you have a favorite headband from the KAYU collection?

AB: The red one!
